About Me!
My name is Heather Averette and I am a junior in the College of Education at the University of South Alabama, GO JAGS! I graduated from Theodore High School in 2002 I started college at Faulkner State Community College in the summer of 2004 working on an Associates Degree in General Studies which changed in 2007 when I transferred to Bevill State Community College.
I graduated from Bevill State Community Collge with an Associates Degree in Liberal Arts in May of 2008. I transferred once again to the University of South Alabama. in the spring of 2009 and I am currently working on my Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education. I will be applying for candidacy this summer and hope to be completeing my student teaching in the Fall of 2010.
Upon completion of my Bachelors, I plan on finding a job and teaching while completing my Masters in Elementary Counseling. I want to be in a school where I can really be used of the Lord. Public schools have so many rules and regulations of what you can and can not do as far as religion but I believe that without saying a word, you ca let the love of Christ shine through you.
I would like to take a minute and share a little about my family. My husband and I got married in 2003. We have been married for almost six years. Also in 2003, our first child was born, our daughter, Destiny-Gail. In 2006 our second child was born, Brodie Troy. My belief is that God comes first, then family, and then everything else. My family means the world to me and they definitely come before anybody else or anything else. In 2007, my husband received his Exhorter's license in the Church of God. Also in 2007, we moved to Guin AL. where we pastored our first church. We were there for a year and a half before moving back to Mobile for six months and then taking another church in February. Ministry is a big part of our lives and we are very blessed.
